These interior concept paintings concentrate mainly on mood & atmosphere. While designing levels in the early stages, it's great for me to engage with the environment artists and 3D art departments by producing my own concept pieces to gauge what we potentially need for the level art pipeline. It really helps out the concept art dept if they are particularly busy with other deadlines.
